If the door opens, but does not close, then the issue is likely from the safety sensor. Safety sensors, found at the bottom of either track, can be bumped, blocked or disrupted by direct sunlight. All of these issues can lead to your garage door not closing. You can attempt to adjust the sensors to fix the issue. If the issue is from sunlight, you will likely need to upgrade to a new sensor that performs better in direct sunlight.
Remote doesn’t work, but wall switch does

- Opener makes noises, but doesn’t move. It is likely that the trolley carriage or main gear have failed.
